Bearded was founded on the belief that great web design requires close collaboration between designers and developers throughout every project. We're committed to helping move the web forward, and incorporating the most successful and future-friendly technologies in our work.
Bearded is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our designs have been featured in HOW Design’s Interactive Annual, on the Communication Arts website, in design exhibitions, as well as numerous web design galleries. Our writing about the web can be found on web design journals like A List Apart and .net magazine, as well as our own Bearded blog.

The Beardeds
Matt Griffin is a designer and founder of Bearded. He has a great love for letterpress printing, which he acquired while attending Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where he received a BFA in Graphic Design.
Brett Bender is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his BS in Computer Science. His strengths include software engineering and server-side development.
Matt Braun is a graphic designer with a keen focus on branding, illustration and the web. He believes that successful design is driven by content and purpose rather than solely by aesthetics, and that passion for work is infectious.
Patrick Fulton is a front end developer who has been working with the web since 1998.
Mark Frey has a long history with the web. Since the late 90's he's been involved with the internet in both higher education and agency environments, sometimes even holding the coveted title of Web Master.
