Brett Bender is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his BS in Computer Science. His strengths include software engineering and server-side development. Brett spends much of his time at Bearded working with the open source web development framework Ruby on Rails. Brett is keenly focused on writing and refining clean, efficient, performant code – the end goal of which is always to support exceptional user experience.

Brett enjoys a relatively spartan lifestyle with regard to physical possessions, often noting that you don't need that many things when you "live on the Internet."
